    Wow, hello all.
I am huge fan of the Cotton Belt RR because it ran thru my hometown in Arkansas and one of my great grandfathers worked on it.
I now have his lantern in my room.
I am back into the model train hobby & railfan hobby after a 17 yr hiatus.
I live in the E. TN region so I mainly see NS & CSX.
I have few CB/SSW model locos. But mainly they are hard to find.

I also visited the Pine Bluff Shops in 2000.
They were doing maintenance to the 819 so they boiler jacket & tubes were removed.
But it is a very nice place, if you like CB trains.
Also the CB logo is still on the building considering that UP owns the yard.

So in conclusion to this extra long--SORRY--post I am happy that my friend showed me the trainboard.com site.

Welcome to the Board Jaijef! It so happens I ran for the Darlington, Kensit & Searcy out of Searcy, Ark. back during the war! (WWII) I'm pretty sure my old engine is now down at Reader, Ark. on a tourist run.

What are you doing model wise? Still got any of the old stuff, or going to start all new? What scale, tell us all about, it we would all like to hear what you have in mind, (even though there are some lurking around here that probably have no idea what we are talking about)! [IMG]

Well I just started back in Jan. 2000 in the hobby and decided on the CB/SSW line.
All of the stuff is new.
    I have a few SD40Ts, GPs, and a Gp30 from Proto2k
    and also a P2k PA1 #300
I was lucky recently to find some SSW passenger cars.
    one baggage, one obs.

All HO scale, i like N scale, but a little to small for me, and anything over HO is too big for the space alloted on the layout.

Welcome to trainboard jaijef! CB fan hey! I've only seen one SSW loco. It was leading a UP freight out of Butler Yard about four years ago. Well, that's about all I know about CB, but here at trainboard, there'll be plenty of people that can help. As for me, I'm also a HO modeler. I mainly have SF, BN, and BNSF locos, and I'm modeling the fictional McLean Subdivision. I'll have pictures of it soon, and they'll be posted on the HO board. Well, up here in Wisconsin, we have a thing called snow, and I have to go shovel it again, so I'll talk soon.

    Drew:
I recently saw a BNSF train from about 1/2 mile away while in ARK. I was a little suprised because I figured it to be mainly UP territory

Also model BNSF, SP, ATSF, BN, JD (John Deere sets), UP, RI, mainly anything I have seen go thru ARK area around Wynne or is currently going thru that area.
I know that the RI crossed the SSW/SP line about 8 miles from my hometown.

if you like CB/SSW like I like CB/SSW then it is a must have.
