Hey everyone, I'm hoping that someone can help shed some light on the major freight trains in service around 1983 in the state of Indiana. More the southern end of the state than the northern. I was Looking at the B&O and the Chessie Sysyem, but the whole 'CSX merger' in '85 really makes things hard to narrow down. I'm trying to model (in theory) a freight train through the state of Indiana in the fall of 1983, and I'm trying to find out what kind of locomotives I might be looking towards. Living on the west coast, I'd have never imagined the railroads got so complicated! Any thoughts or ideas?
