    Another weekend has quickly come upon us, are you ready to get some modeling done?

    For me it maybe another repeat of the previous weekend with so much to do and organize. It will be time to run the track cleaning train again and get the layout cleaned up. I would like to work on the T-Trak modules some as the Decatur Train show will be coming up soon. No meeting with N-Trak club this weekend and no shows. If weather permits, I would like to try and get a few good pictures of Monticello Rail Museums Wabash F7 #1189 as they run her this weekend.

    How about you? Will you continue on track work or diesel detailing? Maybe getting ready for shows is in order. How will you beat the heat? Let us know what your up to and what you want to accomplish this weekend. We'll get together on Monday, August 6th and see how we all did.

    Good morning to all. It will be another hot and humid weekend here in Massachusetts. So, I'll likely be hiding in the train room with the AC on, watching the Olympics while adding scenery. Last week, I started working with static grass. I found that the 2mm stuff available at my LHS from Woodland Scenics is kind of disappointing, and in talking this over with others online, I need 4 and 6mm grass to get the "amber waves of grain" effect I'm looking for. So, that will have to wait.

    Still, I hope to be productive, working on the "natural" area between the cobbles of Mooseport and the swamp. This will need some shrubbery and trees, mostly, and there's track back there to ballast as well. Last week, I managed to get this little scene done:

    It's in the back corner of the lot occupied by Brother Elias's Last Chance Mission, next to the canal with the mill and some street-running track behind it. The statue is from Preiser, perched on a foamboard pedestal.

    Well, for me, the list of potentials includes:

    cutting and gluing the last piece of foam for the sub-roadbed;
    sketching out track centerlines;
    mounting cork;
    laying track
    installing the second leg of the DCC bus
    dropping feeders

    and if I get really randy

    finishing my GP40-2L kitbash.

    Of course, I have to clean the bloody place first - my train room is right off the dining room, and we've had alot of family over recnetly, so there's a bunch of non-train stuff to wade through.
