Voting will last 6 days. You may vote for multiple entries. To do this, you must select all entries for which you wish to vote at once, and then click the submit button. I'm looking forward to seeing some local hot spots for rail-fanning. I hope someone will give us a tour of their area soon.
Unfortunately, I probably won't be able to get to the location I want until July 30, so it might be a little tight. I don't get by this place very often (The NKP's Painesville trestle) but there's an event across the street at the end of the month that I'm sure to be at.
Instead of having a Modeling Photo Challenge this weekend, I'm giving everyone some extra time to get their layout/local tours filmed.
eastern iowa railpics-My Railfan Hotspots This slideshow video shows my hotspots around Eastern Iowa. This is just the tip of the iceberg. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0pCDx7QaOI
This video was shot in 2009 but is it still "good". **Video recorded before contest start. See the video in the Cutting Room Floor.
Uh oh. Great video, but 2009 was a little early for this contest. I'll move your entry to the cutting room floor where we can still enjoy it.
I just got my new HD video camera so here is my newest video and entry. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cbt8-0r6PGs
Been out and about today and will have something posted soon as well... :tb-biggrin: :tb-biggrin: :tb-biggrin: :tb-biggrin:
GhostFanning Colorado Well, if you know anything about Colorado Railfanning, there is no way to get everywhere in a month let alone limit to a 5 minute video so Mark has asked for the impossible this round. Well, we finally just today got out and do a little bit of Railfanning south of town and I put together this quick review of today's sites & sounds. This just scratches the surface of a Local Tour! but it does give you a feel of what one might see/do in any given day around my home. We started out the day tracking down more RR Stations that we have not photographed with a long list still to go. We next stopped by the Western Museum of Mining and Industry which has some RR equipment used in mining operations. We concluded our day down in C-Springs at the Pikes Peak Municipal Street Railway which is at the old RI Roundhouse. The museum is making a pitch to get the Streetcars back into operation within C-Springs as part of their mass transportation; I wish the well! So, here is our July 31st outing squished down to just under 5 minutes... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAo_ooS8G2E
Congratulations Darren! I consider it part of the challenge to edit the videos to under 5 minutes, and you accomplished it perfectly! (Feel free to share a Directors Cut of the whole outing )
Thanks All and yes it took a bit of work to get it under the 5 minute limit... The "Directors Cut" will come; keep watch for RRAdventures topics!!!!!!! :tb-cool: :tb-cool: :tb-cool:
