Hey Ed. In the picture you posted it looks like the SD90 has a FRED attached to its front coupler? I bet it was the rear end helper on the train. Any one know? ------------------ Craig Martyn Best Looking Models Around Custom detailing AND N scale detail parts. http://users4.50megs.com/blma/
Is SHAMU any relation to SNAFU or FUBAR? I know BABAR is an elephant. Gary. Inquiring minds want to know.
SNAFU....FUBAR? Don't know about them. Although I do remember the show Babar!! (what can I say, great minds think alike! ) ------------------ Craig Martyn Best Looking Models Around Custom detailing AND N scale detail parts. http://users4.50megs.com/blma/

I guess I am one of the lucky people of the world. I will get a HO SD90MAC and paint it in Chessie (you knew that was coming ) ------------------ Theres no such thing as having to many coal hoppers or GP40-2 when you model Chessie System LONG LIVE THE KITTEN!!! LONG LIVE BIG BLUE!!! I looked at DCC... and stayed DC!
Craig, you may not want to know what they mean. In any case I can;t tell you here. If you want to know what they mean ,my NEW e-mail is boylerwerx@home.com ------------------ Catt!#118
Regarding that EOT i've seen pics of BNSF DPU SD70MACs with something similar but never seen it in 'real life'... I'm not sure though.

quote:
Originally posted by Mopac3092: do you think kato will have the same problems that emd did and we'll have to send them all back for service?

I think Kato has learned their lesson, for now. I noticed, even though people still complianed, the Snoots were alittle bit better than the early version, and that the HO GP was better than any of the SD40s they had produced. I think Kato relized a small back lash was coming against them and were smart enough to react to it. Has Kato actually given a release date? I gather they won't relase a Shamu due to the different body style from the SD90? ------------------ Paul Cassar-# Member number 50 ICQ 61198217 http://users.bigpond.net.au/railroad2000
This is pretty much off topic but i wonder if they are gonna do the correct cab for the Super Heritage Dash 9s? Man, i wish someone would make a thinwall Dash 9 cab!
Wjat is a thinwall cab on a Dash 9 look like? Dont they have the gullwing cabs on the HII and all other BNSF dash 9s? Kevin
I mean 'thinwall' as in a kit like a Cannon cab kit that has quite thin pieces and is almost perfect in every detail. There is no replacement Dash 9(or 8 for that matter) cab kit. The later BNSF Dash 9s(warbonnets and H2s) have cab windows the same as on GM wide cabs, not as on the earlier Dash 9s...
"Shamu" refers to the color scheme used by SeaWorld in their advertising. There is (at least) one Amtrak car that has it. "FUBAR" stands for F***ed Up Beyond All Recognition. ------------------
