This should probably be in DCC but I expect all who read this like me read both. I am just investing in my first lot of Decoders. My Question to the quorom is this. Does Digitrax have any problems with the SD40-2 decoder the DN 149K2 decoder? A mate of mine has had to replace 2 and I am concerned iif I get mine from US and they are faulty the turn around time for warranty is a little long. Gentleman, your thoughts.
Hey Mick. You cant get them from someone in Aussie? yes you maypay a few more $, but if there is a problem then there maybe no time problems... Few shops in Sydney that sell them if there is none in QLD ??
Bird, I can buy 10 decoders from a shop in the US for under A$450 posted here. In OZ, if they have them in stock I would be flat out getting 5. I rang three shops in Sydney with no luck and a guy from Melbourne had them for A$100 each. Therefore, to enable my hobby $ to go further I shop around. I have not tried Rail-N-thusiast (melb). I am prepared to take the delay if the US supplier accidently supplies a dud. J&J in Bris is the Oz Lenz supplier, and the other shop in Bris has none. So you see my friend, supply and demand. Come to the Bris Exh in May and see our DCC layout, CN / CP and NS / CSX full DCC. Best Exh in OZ. Look me up, Gary is coming I think
