These two trains are based on and inspired by the book on B&O EM-1's titled Magnificent 2-8-84 EM-1 Articulated Locomotive.
Cool! On a parallel note: The book "B&O Power" has a picture on page 191 showing a TRIPLE-header of EM1s pulling a coal train northbound past West Farmington. Doesn't say how many cars, just mentions 345,000 pounds of tractive force. Turning the page showes a single EM1 pulling 55 loaded coal cars up Cranberry Grade to Terra Alta. Leaves me wondering how many N scale coal cars 3 of those Bachmann EM1s could drag around an NTrak set-up. Steve
Not a video but a photo That is one of my Hallmark ATSF 4-8-4's pulling 87 reefer cars and a caboose.
Roger- This appears to be a bad link. It comes up with a "private" message, requiring permission and a log-in.
A quick view of two steamers on the NPBH. The refrigerated train is the #4, a MP 2-6-0 with loksound and the mixed freight is #11, a Spectum 4-6-0 with loksound. Was a good relaxing evening doing this, then an early am filming session. Have been some very nicely done engines here on this thread.
Taken from a helicopter, during steam days. Were you time traveling? What is that depot showing at about thirty seconds? Sure looks NP.
The vid was taken from a hot air balloon on a fairly breeezy day! The 'pilot' had rigged up a motorized propeller to give it direstional flight , of a sort! The epot is of unknown origin, maybe old Plasticville?
Here is another video of a steam engine that I decoderized and now have in hand a new ESU sound decoder to install. Enjoy and thanks for looking. Carl
OOOps, I have to go back to my SP heritage so here is one of my AC-9, which you may have already seen but if not please enjoy and thanks for looking. One comment regarding the chuff synchronization and the drooping cab. Dag nabit, I have not yet taken care of them. Oh one other thing, I have been criticized for the air pump noise being too loud on the AC-9 but actually the wheezing sound you hear is from the AC-12 on the other track. Just something else to fix. Carl
Did I ever admit to being hooked on large SP steam? Well, I am and no wonder as I grew up being around and seeing the beasts up close at the El Paso roundhouse. I have two new projects, yet another AC-9 and an SP, T&NO, GS-1 with vandy. Here is an image of the base beginning. Let the fun begin. Carl
