If anyone can help me...I need to know how to convert my Lifelike Rock Island gp18 (successfully) to microtrains couplers or Kadee couplers. The rapido's have to go. I have tried unsuccessfully in the past to add Kadee's. If I could just find out what coupler #'s to buy...I could use the instructions and "probably" figure it out??? Thanks for any input on the subject.
Wade ,you need the MT pilot conversion kit for the GP-18. The part number is MT1166. <marquee>North American Rail Alliance</marquee>
Wade, You will also need a Pin Vice and a Microtrains #1059 Tap and Drill set, as the Microtrains #1166 is a pilot conversion used to fill in that unprototypical "Toothless Grin" sported by the GP18 (as well as most of the N Scale locomotives which proceeded it). Cheers! Terry
