If you happen to be in the Crawley, West Sussex area on March 8th and 9th (Saturday and Sunday) there is a model railway exhibition at the Crawley Leisure Centre.

The exhibition has been organised by the Sussex Association of Model Railway Clubs and it will have three U.S. prototype layouts along with a couple of German ones.

The U.S. models include Peter Pedlows excellent 'N' gauge Feather River, whilst a new layout to the circuit call Needles Sub which is alos N gauge shows modern day BNSF operations along the old Santa Fe track in Arizona. The third layout is a small switching layout HO scale called Harris Yard.

The remaining layouts are British prototypes apart obviously from the two German 'N' gauge layouts.

And before you say how come I know so much already, it simple I'm the one with grey hair who had to go around looking for the various layouts that we wanted to attend the exhibition, and I also pulled the short straw when it came to organizing the exhibition layout or floor plan. Euuukkkk.

Still if you in the area between 10.00 am and 5.00 pm then why not pop in for a visit

Just bumping Ron's exhibition details up a bit, and adding a bit of info of my own! Hope that show goes well for you.

It looks like I will have the chance to visit the East Midlands show again, this year as a paying customer! http://www.nbmrs.freeserve.co.uk/exhibmain.htm

It looks a good show, it certainly was last year, is anyone else going and interested in meeting up on the Saturday?

Also, the Rock Springs annual open house will take place on the early May bank holiday weekend (3rd to 5th May) so if anyone is down in Devon, feel free to pop in on us! Details will be on our website.

Matt, I can sympathise about the car, after three years of trouble free use, I was towed in three times in three months late last year!   I think the problem is finally fixed now though.

I haven't gone to a show as a paying customer since the Exeter one last summer, so i'm looking forward to being able to wander round at will and not having to man a layout! [IMG]

A side trip to Toton would be cool if the weather is okay as well. [IMG]
