Welcome back folks! There's a bunch of great stuff this week so let's get started. Jim Wiggin proves that model railroaders have a great sense of humor--I love the caption! "Bill's highly detailed, scratch built, N scale Galesburg Station." TIMX is scratch-bashing a Z scale steamer: Nick Lorusso shared Espee's finest:
Mark Dance has been building snowsheds recently. The first one was straight and came out in fantastic fashion, so he upped the ante and is building a curved shed now. The engineering that went into the assembly jig looks more involved than the actual assembly: OC Engineer JD is back in the train room, and lemmetellya he is making his little slice of Pinole ever more life-like. Here's soem Amtrak action--I love the static grass: Last but not least, Jon Grant continues his modeling magic--"I'm watching you..." See ya next time!
LMAO - Only a rivet counter can see the difference between this one and the prototype... :teeth: I do have to point out, on a more serious note, that the quality of the Z scale work is astonishing. Great work guys!
Hemi, you picked a bunch of winners this week, well done. Jim, that's truly an inspiration for beginners, showing what can be done with quality materials and care....thank you. hboy:
At the Santa Fe convention a few years back, no one entered any steam locomotives in the modeling contest. On the spot, the very creative son of one of the members created one out of folded paper and cellophane tape. Won the first place ribbon. Thanks Hemi for pulling these shots to bring them to our attention.
I went ahead and moved them over to the "HO Scale - What's on your workbench" thread if that is OK. Motel room can still be a work bench. Nice work by the way.
