.... and in the description it reads "NOTE: items in picture are not for sale". The Seller's post is actually an invite to bid on whatever he might have in a large collection. How lazy can you get?

Alco did have an FCA3 although I have never seen one and I do not know if any were actually built. May have been an export model.

I wonder if they just did this as a prank, to show a picture of their cat on line....?

After proving to eBay that I know the difference between Sports Stadiums and Castles (!) I checked the seller's other listings. The other MTL auto racks seem reasonable. The other MTL cars, maybe not so much.

I presume the cat is not included...

Ebay may have a new contender in FB marketplace .... I saw this. It says "never used" ....... never used for what ?? .... a means to measure the distance to Mars ? ..... never used to hold fruit salad ? ...... never used to protect yourself from crocodiles ??? ....... there appears to be a misprint on that jewel case too ...... it probably should say "Manufactured in 1833".

Speaking of humor, what's the over/under on when the first National N Scale Convention Banquet Car hits eBay? Assuming it hasn't already...

It's a Micro-Trains 060 Body Style gondola painted for the Virginia and Truckee. Yellow paint, red lettering... can't miss it!

(Edit: A search on "Banquet Car" didn't show any... yet... but there sure are a lot of TTOS O Gauge Banquet Cars from Lionel...)

The best thing about that post about the "Long Star" loco is that it reminds me of the short time I spent in Cairns, although that's well north of the Gold Coast...

    Australian geography 101
Cairns, it's ok, , watch for the sharks and crocodiles
Gold Coast has a lot of sharks ...... fortunately most of them can be found in real estate offices so they're easy to avoid.
Morayfield, where I live, is often referred to as Moronfield due to the way they drive around here.
Caboolture (next suburb north of Morayfield) is sometimes known as Cabghanistan !!

.......... so Cairns was a good choice :)

    I LOL'd...

Cairns was part of my first honeymoon back in 1991. Other stops were Sydney and Canberra. It was a great trip.
I returned to Australia in the aughts, I don't remember what year, for business: Melbourne for about two days, after Singapore for two and a half days. That's right, the USA to Singapore and Melbourne and back... in a week!

My second wife and I would love to go visit: me to go back, Colleen to visit for the first time. We might pick somewhere other than Cairns. No one told me the "beaches" were mud flats. The Cairns to Kuranda Railway (required train content) was a highlight, however.

Oh, and back on topic, here's some overpriced real estate.

As if $80 isn't enough, this guy is asking $125! In a few days, there'll be a third at $170.
