Done some more work. Check out the progress on the Grade Crossing. Working Z-scale 3D-printed Railroad Crossing - PlateLayer by Svein-Martin Holt
It's a real nice project. You will be getting some use out of that Nano, with servo actuator, bell sound, trigger sensors, and LED's. It will be very interesting to see your sketch code.
Thank you. Actually I have the code near 100%, have tested it some time ago using a breadboard. I will put it online when its installed. I have the standard servo, but are waiting for my linear servos from China. I want to check that out. In the meantime I guess I can build some crossings and signals without the moving gate and install them on the layout.
Some progress on developing different Signals for the Zity Edge Layout today. D type Hooded Signal in Z-scale - PlateLayer by Svein-Martin Holt
Whoa!! Those are a beauty! I could use some of those, as the Milwaukee Road used those since the 1940's on up till the end!
I would love to have the laser or etch it in brass the traditional way. So I think a combination of brass cutting or etching and resinprint would have been the best solution. But I use what I have, my resinprinter.
Check out the latest development on my homepage. 3D-modeling and printing of the new Kentucky Fried Chicken, KFC, Restaurant Model. Great blogpost and a new video to be watched: Link to blog: http://www.platelayer.com/kfc-store-3d-print.aspx
Very well done, I enjoyed the video. Do you have a place to mount it on your layout? I would love to see it on your layout.
That’s a great video! You have really mastered the 3D printing. I actually learn a lot from watching cause your explanation is very well done. Model railroading is about problem solving. Guys like you and Robert got that ability to find solutions to things in ways I wouldn’t think of but after I see it kinda motivates me in my work.
Thank you for the good Words Robert. I will install it on the layout, I must first find the correct spot. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thank you Joe. Glad you like the work. A mainpart for me with this hobby, Are to develop and try to document what I do and have learned. If this can be inspiration for other, it makes me happy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Svein-Martin, Excellent 3D work, great presentation, and very nice assembly, paint and graphics. Like how you show the sign motor and motor housing assembly. Scott
