Sounds like my kind of road trip… but a nice summer ride through the mountains would be much preferred.

It has been too many years since my last seeing the UNW layout; the MRNS layout; and more. Wish I could see your T-Trak endeavor as well. Kirk, Keith, Peter and a whole bunch of other folks. Wish I could move back home, but its unaffordable. If I could, I'd join in again. But....

I had to sell my Honda Goldwing Aspencade. So it's out of the question. Besides the last time I was in that part of the world I was headed for the other side of the world. We skipped over it coming back.

A flight to Seattle, plus rental car, vs driving 32 hrs (per Google) there, and 32 hrs back, plus at least two more nights in hotels.

I could drop the wife off in SLC to see her sister, and earn a few Brownie points (aka procurement authorization).

There was a time when I would have jumped on this.

But we were up in SLC for Christmas, and her sister visited here last week.

Nope, not gonna happen... this year.

Masterpiece are good modules, but after buying a couple from Stewart, and before I had the proper tools to make my own, I can say his are top quality through and through. His prices are good, his quality is great and his modules are already assembled, so all you have to do is build train stuffs.

The problem I have is my modules are 21" deep. And I need a bridge module that is a 4 feet long 21 inches deep.

Well you could make one… or have someone make you one. I make modules but my woodshop is a carport which is highly dependent upon the environment and right now is not good building weather. For this reason I don’t sell the modules I make online, only locally.

I asked Stuart Denniston about this last year and he responded at that time he did make custom sized modules.

A friend (and fellow Vero Beach Model Railroader) and I are building modules so we can show off N scale at shows. We each have 2 outside corner and 2 double straight modules. I got the track on my modules today. This is how they are right now:

We plan to get together soon so we can run some trains to make sure everything works as it should. Then we can start scenery. I’ll keep all y’all posted as we make progress.

Thanks for posting the video, Massey. These shadowbox modules are really neat.

Thanks for posting. If tis go over which looks like they are. I have a outside corner about ready and started on the inside corner.
Plus, have been asked for a helix to go with them, so that might happen. All depends on my time, busy now and a one-man shop.

I am still mulling over this for a double T Trak module. Using the Kato 20240s I am wondering if you could just use the regular T Trak double Main and then fit the turnouts next to them to achieve that effect?

it works on a double if you use the Kato street track turnouts. But none to be had. I have the buildings drawn and test cut just trying to find the track to make sure it all lines up on the doors.
