Hello. If you click on the picture below, you'll see a copy of the track plan I have built. This comes from the Kato website, but I made it with Bachmann EZ track. I have marked the crossovers in blue, the turnouts in red, and, in pink, where I have the terminal track (power supply) now located. I have the regular Bachmann N/HO power pack/speed control. I modified the layout to make it 28" by 75", so there's a couple of hundred of inches of track. Does it matter where the terminal track is located in the layout? Is one power supply enough? I've noticed the loco slows down at the far left of the layout, and at low speeds it also has trouble getting through the turnouts. Wondering if you have any advice you can offer. Thank you. julian
julian...I would put another teminal track on the opposite corner. The track isnt all that long...but voltage drop is still possible. JMO of course. *or as Jerry said...put 5 in..one each half circle (pic 2)* ,.
Julian, You should be using (5) track feeders, one on each half circle. This will provide the necessary power without voltage drops on each leg of all your turnouts. Your power supply should handle two locos running at the same time. Jerry
