I am always a fan of anything Santa Fe. Nice shot Kieth. Buddy, thanks for including my photo. I was not able to ride the ARR Hurricane, just watched it pull into Talkeetna in the afternoon. I did get to ride the Denali Star from the park up to Fairbanks.
Vague memory of it being mentioned quite a few years ago. Eight to ten years perhaps? They have, or had at least two.
F40 #31 pictured above is ex Amtrak 244. It no longer has traction motors and is now used as a cab car and HEP source. They also have #32 which is ex Amtrak 268 and configured in the same way.
