An executive sandwich from r_i_straw-- Four new ES44AC's from co_riff-- YoHo with a classic GP39M-- See ya next week!!!
The two tracks in the foreground are the old Gulf Colorado & Santa Fe alignment now owned by the BNSF. The west bound BNSF train is on the old Texas & New Orleans (SP) Sunset Route running via track rights out of Houston. The two right of ways parallel each other for a few miles before the BNSF crosses over the UP about 1/4 of a mile farther to the left in that photo. At that point the BNSF train shown here will take the interchange track and cross onto its home rails to head north instead of continuing west on the Sunset. https://maps.google.com/maps?q=29.5...09,-95.806822&sspn=0.003892,0.005992&t=m&z=16
