That UP stacker photo reminds me of a similar scene on the MILW in Montana. It was single tracked, but there was a curve where trains looked just that way.

I have to get back to Durango some day and ride that line again. Have not ridden since it was still run by the Denver & Rio Grande. Wow how time flies.

    Thanks Buddy.

How true! :( Suddenly more years have flown by than a person ever intended to let slip away.

I thought the Snake shot looked familiar , it is Glenns Ferry Id not far from where I was raised in Mtn Home ID. the old highway 30 runs by some of that thru some rock cuts that are still cabeled and chain link fenced. We use to fish that strech and watch the dinosaur fish ( Sturgeon ) run up and down the Snake and hunt varmits from there to King Hill . That section a bit further west hosts the flat bottom boat races up towards Bruneau . I have ridden the varnish from Mtn Home to Pocatello on the milk run ... seem like all day to go 200 miles .... thanks for posting the memories are still strong !!!
