That's some fine kit bashing and building Mike. Plastic is a great medium to work with. Always great to see your updates. Happy New Year!
Quick update from last Tuesday. Reynold and I took the fascia off the layout in the SW corner. We have two hidden turnouts, which in hindsight was a stupid move, that were acting up. (Murphy's Law) The removal was originally intended to start the process of removing the two turnouts and placing them along the south wall. These turnouts redirect traffic from the main into South Seattle Yard. We quickly realized that both of the tortoise fulcrums had come loose. A little CA fixed that. We ran trains through there all night without issue. So for now we will put the fascia back and continue. Until it doesn't work.... While Rey dropped a couple of feeders in Maple Valley, I began detail sanding the Boeing idler cars. After that was done, he and I put in place Wain's RIP shed. Looks good! Next week I'll install the tracks. That's it for now. Thanks for checking in. M The Rainier Great Western HO Scale Railroad
Looking great there Mike I really like the way things are turning out Sorry I don't have much modeling time right now but I am playing with trains just the 1:1 scale trains
Looking really good Michael. When we have larger MRR like we do. It seems there are always a few dozen things that need done. Always impressive.
Before I left town, I managed to inch these beauties one step closer to completion. Upon my return, I intend to get the plane dollies complete and get these cars on the layout. I have 737s in dire need of delivery! Another item added before leaving town were the tracks into Wain's RIP shed. Thanks for checking in. The Rainier Great Western HO Scale Railroad
I'll be using the Tamiya x21 method on them once I put the boxes on the flatcars. That will tone it down. The Rainier Great Western HO Scale Railroad
You have them and I don't That's what's funny Mike My wallet feels like the C&NW Cheap and Nothing Wasted I'm so poor I can't even buy dirt
Wondering if any of my followers or those who just drop in once in a while, know if anyone who has an NCE PB5, item 5240045, for sale? The Rainier Great Western HO Scale Railroad
Wanted to share with you guys the latest iteration of my AZ layout, the Portage Municipal Belt Line. View attachment pmbl-5.pdf It is 8x9 and will use staging cassettes on either end of the main. Primary traction will be Milwaukee, but CNW, Green Bay Western, NP and Wisconsin Central will be active. Construction will start in April during my next free trip down. Thanks for checking in. Anyone have a quality alternative to floquil Tuscan? I used the MRH suggestion of Model Air mahogany and it is way too dark. Thx The Rainier Great Western HO Scale Railroad
