I'm looking at using a coupe of Rokuhan locomotives for a Z-scale micro layout, however there's some information I can't seem to find.

For the DD51 diesel locomotives (T002-1), what is the minimum radius turn they can take? On a related note, what is the minimum radius for their passenger and freight rolling stock?

I know their 'Shorty' line uses 3V, but is this still the case for their non-Shorty models? I.e. the DD51 and C11?

    Hi Danny
I run a few DD51s on my Hakuho exhibition layout and the limiting factor on radius is the overhang of the centre truck which is unpowered and has a lot of side play

I've done a couple of reviews on the DD51 on my youtube channel although I can't remember if I ever tested them for minimum radius

3 volt has never been on my horizon either for the mainline Rokuhan locos or the shorties. I use 8v pure D.C from a gaugemaster controller on both and I'm just about to trial a PWM contoller turnes down to 8 volts on my Port Shaughty layout that runs, well er, Shorties

The Rokuhan DE 10 goes round really tight curves though as our Brooklyn runs them on his little Alpine layout

If you look my through my youtube channel you'll find reviews of Tenshodo, Rokuhan and Platz locos and rolling stock. And you will see all sort of Shorty powered locos including 3D printed brass bodies, British railway diesel railcars and Electric locomotives and the current project is the Atlas collectable Shinkansen Bullet train motorised with stretched Shorties

Any questions I am always happy to help
