Ok guys here are the 8 SP heritage units as drawn by A Proud SD&AE modeler please vote on the one YOU like best. You are voting based on which one youd most like to see painted as a model. DO NOT vote on the Rock or Rio Grande as they are a guarantee to be painted. to vote simply post a comment with the name of the loco you like best. for instance if you like the MP the best simply post Missouri Pacific. thanks NOTE this is NOT exactly how these locos will turn out... the only thing that is 100 percent identical with what i am having done is the paint schemes. under the cabs on all locos (excluding MP and CNW) will have SP written next to their numbers just like UP did on their heritage units, The sunset logo WILL NOT be where you see it in the picture it will be placed under or next (as UP did on their units) to the phrase Proud Heritage Powerful Future depending on how i have it alligned from this side shot that is all the issues that need to be addressed

I vote Cotton Belt, just because to make your fleet look credible, the majority of your engines should look like SP engines. You generally don't have a conceptual view of the UP as having half of its engines in varying color schemes. I'd suggest a ratio of 1 heritage engine to 2-SP bloody noses (though the cotton belt can technically be called a "bloody nose" unit and can blend right in.)
I like the cottonbelt best I think, but it's little different than the normal SP. If you'd put up the Black Widow, I'd be all over that. Athearn did an HO Rock though that looks nice. Really, these don't do much for me. There's something to be said for a working beauty, but these are just too bland for my tastes. A well done recolor though, to be sure. One note: the logo over the fan intake will be a pain for your scale crews. I'd move it up by the cabs, it'll last longer. Or can it, as there may just be too much stuff. Reduce and stick under the cab number, or beside it?
well i plan to have it below the proud heritage slogan the drawer decided not to put it there for some reason
SSW takes the lead ug this is the last unit i wanted but hmm i mite go with the number 2 keep voting guys
Im up for the MKT, its just something about the John Deere green with the big yellow logo that gets to me!
could you please vote for one of the others then? i will not have enough money to get all these and the black widow nd the other heritage takes prority
I'd vote Western Pacific if it was Silver and Orange. The Green and Orange just reminds you of the bad old days. And I hate the blue and White Rock Island scheme. So I guess of those, I'd have to go C&NW or Cotton Belt.
