I was wondering if anybody has any pictures of the railroad bridge over the 3rd crossing of Tehachapi Creek at West Woodford, CA. (This is the bridge next to the old highway, and under Freeway 58.) I am looking for pictures as modeling references. This dosen't seem too be a very photogenic location as there are many pictures of Woodford online, just none that I can find of this paticular spot. Thanks,
Hi Brian... Have you checked with Dave n ???? My first time to the Loop with Dave and Jeff was pretty Cool we got to parts that you could only do by foot on are MTB bikes. So if anyone has those Pic's it's Dave
Hmm, I'll have to check my slides. . . you're right, not a very photogenic location - I've ridden my mountain bike through there, and to be honest I don't even remember what type of bridge it is - I'm assuming is a plate girder vs. deck girder like the other crossings. I do remember that there isn't a whole lot of clearance on either side of the tracks in that area. I've got plenty of shots of #4 & #5, and some of #2 at Rowen, but not sure about #3 - I'll check.
From what I have gathered it is a stone arch culvert type of bridge, with lots of overgrown vegitation. Still no pictures though. Looks like a field trip is in order. Brian
