For those who might be interested, I've uploaded my collection of SP&S train orders:

    http://www.train-orders.com/TOUR/SPS/SPS.html

Also in that TOUR section are what I have from both the Oregon Electric RY and the Oregon Trunk RY.

Hmmm, Ken, for some reason, that link won't open your site for me.

Have not anything with my site insofar as paperwork, for quite some time. I am hoping to get a bit busier. I want to do an expanded SNCT page, adding paperwork and some accurate history, to go with my few photos.

??? It seems to work for other people. Have had quite a few SP&S views already today. Just checked and it worked fine for me.

It works now. I think the problem is on my end. My ISP made some changes lately and my usually reliable MAC is acting funny. Nice collection, BTW.

Like looking back in time , wondering just what exactly was happening , how people felt and what they focused on ... cool , WTG Ken !!! I can just almost picture a guy sitting at a wood desk , in a wood chair typing away on a manual typewritter , punching one finger on the right hand and one on the left , cigarette dangling from the corner of his mouth , steaming cup of coffee by the type writter , a stack of train orders to marshall and in walks the engine boss with a broke engine and a no show for a conductor home sick... they grumble at each other and then the engine boss turns to shift supervisor who then turns to the phone on the wall and starts calling standby board to come in... and in walks Phillip Marlowe , who just happens to look like a train just ran over him. Marlowe speaks " Where the hell is train # 210 ?" , " I gotta get to Woodburn by sun down ." The shift super just glares at him and continues to ring phone numbers in an attempt to get a crew for #210 and get it on the road.

The engine boss would likely have been a roundhouse foreman. That shift supervisor a crew caller.

I sat next to a few friends who were copying train orders. Which only fed my appetite for collecting these things. Much more to upload, but some railroads will require months of work, for creating their pages.

Marlowe...? Do you listen to OTR? Great stuff to have playing, when doing some model building.
