Has anyone used the SE block signals WITH the LED supplied? I have some that came with out the LED and they are VERY good looking. The only thing I don't like is that there cast in white metal so there not very strong but other than that there great.

My question is how are the LED's? Do the signals still retain the realism they had before?

    Thanks!

    Craig,
I built my own LED signals and they are fine actually LED signals are now used prototypically on most railroads

    Hi Paul,

Do you have any pictures of the ones you did? I would really like to see them!

Also, there is a club down here near LA (East Valley Lines) and one of the member made oh I would say about 50 of the little low yard signals by taking a red and a green sqaure LED's and mounting one on top of the other. Quit nice looking I must say and really simple!

    Thanks

Craig, I have several SE signals and a Jay's Signal. There is a photo of both on my web page in the nscale section. I am very pleased with the signals from Dan Crews(SE). His after-purchase support is great. I get lots'a compliments from visitors on how both signals look. Some of my signals are connected to a "Signals Animator", which changes them from green to flashing yellow to red.

I've been to see Harold's layout, and can vouch for their appearance and the animation. It really is impressive how the signal will change from green to red as the train passes, and then cycle to yellow and finally back to green.
