I'd have tocheck my F/P rolling stock book to see, but I think that's not an as-built configuration. The 40' combo door is pretty rare nowadays, regardless.
I do know that the car was owned by a furniture company for a point in time, so I don't know if that might have anything to do with it.

DRGW Depot at Richfield, UT I believe this is the only depot, along Marysvale Branch, surviving at its original site. The depot structure is used as storage by Peterson Plumbing Supply. It still keeps wonderful decoration on gables. All photos taken on Sep. 15, 2014 Hiroshi BOXCAR RED COLLECTION
When was this line constructed? I think it was the Sevier Railway Company that was incorporated in 1891 from Manti to Marysvale. The Rio Grande had built the narrow gauge line from Thistle to Manti in 1890 and converted it to standard in 1891.
Is Richfield a small community? It would be a great point of pride for them to acquire and restore this structure.
According to the book "Denver & Rio Grande Western Depots Vol. 2" by Clive & David Carter, the depot was built in 1896, toilets added in 1917, and retired in 1985. Except for some additions, this structure coincide with the drawings in the book. So, I think the book represents the history of this structure. Richfield is a city of more than 7500. Nearby city of Mt. Pleasant with 3000 preserves their depot. Why not Richfield!! Hiroshi BOXCAR RED COLLECTION
In this country, far too many communities have removed their depots. Thereafter, quite a few have realized their error and felt great regret! Some have then even gone so far as to completely build a new and faithful replica.
