    Thanks!
It was a painted-out rent-a-wreck, but still pure 'Grande! :)

This was sad. Last Sunday I saw 3 of these hoppers painted as scrap. All good things must come to an end at sometime I guess.

Here is a D&RGW signal for Hemi that is still in use in Palisade, CO. UP has changed a few already in the area.

Nice catch! I tried to capture as many D&SL/D&RGW signals as I could when I was there 2 months ago....

    Beautiful!

And between SOU and SSW cars, to boot. (Assuming those three illegible marks on the SP-scheme car are the reporting marks, that is). You wouldn't know it was 2007!

Recently I spotted two former Grande units operating in Fruita, CO and kicked myself for not getting a picture of them. I lucked out this weekend and caught both of them together in Montrose, CO coupled up to some wood chip cars.

Seeing these is like seeing two old friends! When I lived in Montrose I would take my son to watch switching ops every chance I could. It was great fun and the train crews were really super nice folks! Anyone know where these units are currently?

Believe it or not I just took the pictures of these units in Montrose, CO on 2/10/08. I have seen them working between Grand Junction and Montrose for the last two weeks or so. It brings back memories of the good old days seeing both of them coupled together moving freight without a yellow unit in the mix.
