It's not just Trainboard, the entire internet is slow for me For real, YT and other sites. I call it the Friday everyone streaming day, which is true! But I have no clue if it causes Trainboard to be slow?
Really slow for me right now. Takes half a minute to load or post anything. Time for a reboot? All other sites on the internet are fine for me.
During that same time frame, I noticed that Yahoo (where I have an email) was also doing the same thing. So it was not just us. Might have been too many pigeons sitting on a phone wire somewhere.
If your connected through WIFI there could be another appliance interfering. I get very similar on my hard wired computer and television. They just stall. I had the router and computer restored and that stopped a lot of it. But, not all. The fun with modern day electronics. I do have a new smarty phone and laptop computer, the repair people say they could be causing it. Along with anything the other renters near by have. Oh yah, in March I acquired an electric tricycle with Lithium Diode batteries. Have fun.
I couldn't connect all day. But then MSN and Yahoo would not stay connected either. I think it's just the result of SPECTRUM refusing to supply the 100mps router they advertise. But, that's only available in special areas.
Would be interesting to know why TB was off line a good bit of today. The error message had to do with a DNS issue so that was possibly something to do with the host server?
Indeed TB was offline the best part of yesterday. I would be nice if TB staff informs us of the reason.
I have not heard from other Staff, if they've any knowledge of this event. It could have been a problem with our hosting, our server, or? It might have been a software upgrade. Until such a time that someone learns what happened, and passes it along, we're in the dark as much as as everyone else.
To me, as long as the forum came back up, I don't demand an explanation. It is probably the most missed of the forums I frequent, when it's down. Doug
Purhaps your in a bad area like me. The carrier will not live up to there advertising. They are suppose to be the biggest in country. But not connecting has been an issue since Windows 10/11 came into use.
Microsoft spends too much time on adding unneeded "features" and attempting to get everyone to be one big "Microsoft Family" instead of on making sure things that are already there work correctly. There are bugs galore. And actually, Microsoft isn't alone in that regard. Many software developers are woefully inadequate. Too much dependence on packaged objects and such and not enough real understanding of code. Doug
