Hey all I will be posting info on a new museum that is going to be in the Quad Cities(hopefully). Plus will be trying to get a pic of a Rock Island SW-1500 that is sitting in Silvis RIGHT NOW!Granted it looks like its been through the wringer but.....
Over in Burlington IA., I've seen an Alco Switcher, one of the newest ones with the cab in the middle. It's an Ex-Rock and now works at a Lumber Factory just north of "Big Muddies", the old Rock Freight Depot now a Fine Dining Establishment.
Casey, I am familiar with the Quad Cities Railroad Educational Association, and as a matter of a fact, just learned about it at the Great American Train Show in Rock Island on Sunday. I signed up to be on their mailing list and told them that I would put some information on my page at http://www.rock-island.org to try and send them some interested persons to help with their efforts. They have some big plans... and I wish them the best! Anyone interested can contact them at: Quad Cities Railroad Educational Association P.O.
