    Hi all,
My home layout is Nce Power pro 5 amp wireless, been running this for about 7 years. I just joined a club that uses Digitrax and bought a UT6D throttle use with that layout. I'm planning on starting to building T-trak modules in the near future and not sure whether to start fresh with a digitrax system. This system would be dedicated to the t-track modules/layout which is going to be in an out building away from my home layout. I'm not interested in Dcc++ or any of the other systems out there. Just need some input on this idea.

I had an NCE PowerCab that I decided needed to be replaced for the relatively large layout I am building. I planned on sticking with NCE with a wirelsss 5 amp system.

However, this was in the height of Covid and couldn’t find the NCE system in stock anywhere! I threw caution to the wind and went with the new Digitrax Evolution Duplex system. I couldn’t have been happier with this decision! The new throttle design is very easy to use and understand.

If it was me, I think I'd move the NCE to the T trak layout, and get what you want for the main layout. Digitrax probably has the best system with their loconet if you are wanting to add a lot of switch control, signals, ect. If you aren't wanting to upgrade any of your electronics, any system should be fine. You also already have a start on Digitrax with your club throttle. I went with MRC, mostly because they had a 10 amp system, and also because they have a really simple WiFi option, which has saved me A LOT on additional throttles. The module just plugs into a throttle port on the base and lets you run the trains off a phone, tablet, or computer. Club members coming over to the house, just need to download the app, and they can run their trains with their phone. At the club (NTRAK), we run DC, but members are free to bring in their own DCC systems if they want, and it's simple to take the WiFi module in, which gives me walk around capability and the phone will run 2 trains on a split screen without constantly changing addresses. But that's me........for you I'd stick with one of the 2 systems you are familiar with.

Thanks for the replies. I've had a chance to really use the new UT6d throttle at the club, takes some getting used to since Ive never had any experience with Digitrax. I actually have MRC Tech 6 sound controller 2.0 I could use but the biggest drawback with it is I can't use the addresses I assign to the locos, very limited. I do believe it I'll go with an Digitrax EVOXD system and probably add the LNWI down the road.
