    Why didn't someone remind me that I forgot to post the smartphone challenge this month? :rats:

    If you have a new phone, join in. Here are the rules:

    1. Do not trespass (or violate any other laws in the pursuit of photos or videos).
    2. Be safe (and legal).
    3. All photos must be taken during the period of the thread (i.e. now through May 31, 2013 for this thread).
    4. Photos should be taken with your smartphone (or other similar mobile device) and uploaded.

    Heading across the bridge to Canada at Milltown, Maine to bring back a few carloads of softwood for the pulp mill. The train came back 20 to 30 minutes later but I was too busy to take more pictures.

    NS 8052 inches to the rest of the train after running around the first half. The two ACs and Dash 9 will soon be in the middle of the two cuts and push the first cut to be loaded not to far from here.

    The first photo was taken in Cajon from a hill adjacent the signal tower for the Silverwood crossing which is just as the tracks curve away from summit and begin the downgrade trek. The BNSF also becomes triple track about 300' east of here. The double track is just left of us and the UP (old SP) line is above that to the left.

    The photo on the right is from Hill 582 and I just found it interesting.

    Both taken with my Razor on Memorial Day.
