Hi All, I just completed the pages on my December road trip to Helper, UT. Lots of pictures for everyone. Includes UTAH RY MK5000C's, UP, SP, BNSF and of course D&RGW. Caution! Slow loading. Just go to Utah Rails, click on my Road Trips then December 2000. Enjoy, ------------------ Jim Harrawood #85 Utah Rails Wyoming Rails D&RGW---Main Line Thru The Rockies
Wow, another great photo set, Jim. Utah Railway, and Grande tunnelmotors with the lights and horn the way the Man Upstairs and EMD intended...whatta beautiful sight! Wish I was out there to catch it all; all I'm seeing out here are those boring wing-thingies. Care to trade places with me? Paul #3 ------------------ Have A Nice Day! Paul, With just a quick check, there are 28 Grande units in CA and 13 in So-Cal. 2 T-2's 1 GP40 3 GP40-2's 7 SD50's That is just the black ones. There are also SP paintes ones and a lot of regular SP's . I'll admit though, Helper is a good spot most of the time . ------------------ Jim Harrawood #85 Utah Rails Wyoming Rails D&RGW---Main Line Thru The Rockies
Quite true, there is some Grande power around here...in fact, a friend reported that yesterday's Anaheim Hauler power had a pair of SD50's on it. Unfortunately, I was stuck at work; and to add insult to injury, my job is about 10 minutes away from from where they were sitting. Arrrgghhh! "Hey boss, instead of a lunch break, can I have a railfan break?" ------------------ Have A Nice Day!
