Good morning from sunny and mild Northeast Ohio! I got a couple of new cars done this week! First up a Stewart G39a ore jennie, painted with Scalecoat II Black Paint and lettered with Middle Division Decals, these were upgrades of the G39 cars and the air tanks and ABD Valve were moved from under the car where the heaters would damage the gaskets in those parts while they tried to get the frozen ore out during the winter. Another Bowser Covered Hopper kit, painted with Scalecoat II Black paint and lettered with Highball Graphics decals. The Annie originally purchased these cars to haul cement from the Dundee, MI cement plant to various locations due to the large use of cement in the early Interstate Highway program, they then migrated to the Yuma, MI sand pit delivering casting sand to the Ford Engine plant in Brookpark, OH. Last weekend I took my Bowser C-636 demonstrators to the club and ran them with 41 G39 and G39A ore jennies on the Strongsville Club layout. Thanks for looking! Rick Jesionowski
SL-SF GP7 517 on the ready tracks, headed to do some switching. There is a contract switching outfit on my MRR known as the Hindsight Industrial Rail System (HIRX). Well they acquired a 5ft section of RR and are now a RR so the "X" has to be dropped, and re-stenciling of the rolling stock is underway. I was gonna just patch out the X but is was actually easier to patch out the RX, so now the reporting marks are HI. I got the name as a result of a industrial area here in Grand Junction known as "Foresight Industrial Park", so naturally I had to do the Hindsight thing. Here are a few examples of the re-stenciling efforts, I dont even know how many cars will need the treatment. Thanks for stopping by.
Very open country scene. And the edge of town. Bless my soul! A square hatch covered hopper! Chortle! Frisco rules! Hindsight Rail....
@rjthomas909 That scene looks strikingly real! You're pulling your handiwork around with class! Alco... Haven't we all... But your Hindsight is great! Easy-peasy to run anything - just patch it! Love the idea. Keep up the great work, guys!
Quietly simmering away while waiting for a crew, Also waiting for the outbound crew, delayed by "Beans."
Amazing how pictures, especially closeups show all your error's and such I still like it though Someone needs to lower their back drop, among other things CSX car unloading something at the refinery? And apparently the big bosses are in town as I see a helicopter in the scene, or part of it. It's like Where's Waldo, the more you look, the more stuff you see. Me likes!
That is not outside the possibilities. Not the prototype as this is mostly dry through the year. I could add a fisher just under the bridge in a spot to capture that reflection too.
