I went to the club layout on Saturday and used my Atlas GP38 and Athearn SD38 to replicate the Delta Turn which delivered auto parts to the Wabash/N&W at Delta, Ohio for delivery to Ford Plants in Kansas City, KS and Milpitas, CA. Thanks for looking! Rick J
The wind/solar cloths dryer in the back yard reminds me of growing up not far from the C&NW railroad tracks. When a steam locomotive could be heard whistling for the crossing a few blocks away, my mom would run out to the back yard to rescue the laundry before it became coated with soot and cinders.
Two trains on opposite ends of the schedule spectrum. Approaching is train #19, the Super Chief, and coming the other way is the lowly Hurman Junction to Sousa City local, running a single combine today, mostly LCL traffic. Gravel Plant. Chief Petroleum in Las Vegas, NM. Yard switcher in Lamy, NM shuffling cars from the Eastbound Green Fruit Express.
Mikel, your stuff gets even better every week, you have an outstanding eye for details and scenery and excellent photography, well done!
New one for me. The Southern New Mexico N Scalers has a show coming up 1st weekend of October. I just finished this for my wife to run her Smokey Bear / fire prevention train. The real 5902 was painted as the model or the model was painted per the 1:1. I used fiber optics to run the relocated lights to the nose as well as ditch lights. Even has a lady engineer and fireman or brakeman, whatever they are called today. Carl
