Sorry I did not get this topic going sooner. I have been out of wireless conductivity and without internet. There are still a few places on the globe where this happens and I have property in one of them. Let's see what you have. Sent from my DROID4 using Tapatalk 2
I don't have a photo now...but I am working on a project... I should have photographic evidence by Sunday night...
Two train and water shots... First up, Slocan River complete with fly fishermen Next up, a fill next to the Kootenay River. Have a great weekend everyone! md
Fishing! I really like it! Oooh. It's that time of year again. I need to find a good spot to do so, and be near tracks at the same time.
D&RGW Prospector This is some of the project I have been working on. Con Cor Domes and tailcar. They will be named John Albert (dome), Harris Burt (dome) and George Ungricht (tail car). Hope you likes them.
Wow! That's incredible. Fantastically realistic, and you backdrop really suits the scene. It's amazing how often railfanning and fishing coincide... Often the path to a fishing hole is the same path to a nice river crossing scene. Often the railroad itself is the path to the fishing hole.
Thank you for the kind words however the "backdrop" is actually a piece of painted foamboard temporarily clamped in place. You might see it in a number of photos of this area of the layout because these scenes are on the main swing gate entrance to the layout room. I clamp the board in place just for photos. md
Clamped on backdrops are also another way of taking pictures "inside looking out" by placing the camera inside of a scene, aiming it using a mirror, and using the self-timer for views that you'd otherwise never see. This one is one of my favorites, the backdrop is at the aisle:
John A., I didn't know you could do that. Grin! One awesome way to take a picture. He's right you won't see this view looking at his layout from the aisle. Nice picture and a winner any day.
