For some reason, I've always liked this picture so I'll use it to start off this weeks Proto Fun! This was in the Scranton PA area in I think early 2006. Also, my apologizes to Hemi for doubling up the Proto Fun thread last week. Guess I was just off in another world or something
No worries! I though about merging the threads into one. Maybe if I get a round tuit.... I have been busy with retirement stuff, hosting family for a week and all sorts of other busyness and neglected to download my camera for like 3 weeks. I had 2200 photos to chew thru, and about 180 keepers. Here's one. CP light power rumbles past milepost 474, just east of Burlington, ND: Amtrak 8 at Lonetree, ND behind a fresh Charger: After Amtrak passed, no trains were in sight, so a blank silhouette at Lonetree, ND will have to do.
That's quite a find @BNSF FAN ! It's former LV 405, in Indiana Hi-Rail paint, owned by the Delaware-Lackawanna RR.
From 05/09/2000 on the former ACL main at Sharpsburg, NC. Conrail was operationally dissolved on 06/01/1999.
Cool! A C-420! Hemi's photos are spectacular! I like the old truck in the first one. It would be great to revive and spruce up that old beast.
