Holy smoke! A Nash Suburban woody sedan!

Even pictures of those things are rare as hen's teeth.

I used to love working at the gas station, late evenings. This picture is filled with classic things to enjoy.

    Good call.

Buick's, Olds, and Cad ohv v-8's were popular swaps into hot rods in the 50's and early 60's until the small block chevy became the go to engine in most cases. I use to spend a lot of time in the mags looking at the adapter kits and dreaming. My dream was.....

.... a Cad into my '51 ford but of course that never happened.

Very nice car! If memory serves, I believe Felix Leiter had one of these in the James bond books but don't recall which book.

Chunk of change in '54, considering that's over and above the Studebaker itself, which didn't cost that much more.

I keep thinking back to my youth. There was an HO manufacturer in the 1960s who was producing a Deep Rock tank car. Who was that???

    Got one of those!
    DeepRock_2155.jpg

All metal (except for trucks) and very heavy. Found that in a train show some years ago.

There was a similar metal car, single dome, around the same time, also in my collection, decorated for Roller Freight:

A little worse for wear but that only means it has history!:)

I have both listed as Athearn, produced circa 1957-1960.
