Hi Folks, Well, it's almost time for that annual SoCal get together, the Western Prototype Modelers Meet in La Habra, CA. For those not familiar, WPM is the longest-running prototype modeler meet on the west coast; last year's meet featured over 400 models on display. Modelers of all roads/eras/scales are encouraged to attend, and bring models to display (finished or not). It's a great chance to meet other modelers, share techniques, and just have a good time. There are also clinics throughout the day covering various topics, as well as a raffle at the end of the day (featuring products generously donated by various hobby manufacturers). For more information, check out the WPM site at http://www.westernprototypemodelers.org/ . Hope to see some fellow TB'ers there! Later, Paul Ellis
Paul, Thx for notifying us of this. If I was single, I'd fly down from the Bay Area to see this. From what I've seen, the Free-mo folks and Prototype Modelers really do some superb modeling. Please take pictures and post here to share!
Here's two links to a bunch of pictures from WPM 2005 and some awesome models: Harry Wong: http://www.pbase.com/tracktime/wpm2005 David Hussey: http://www.pbase.com/dh30973/wpm2005
