A while back, Alan Curtis and I had a discussion about the color or Santa Fe Yellowbonnet walkways. I said they were yellow, Alan said blue. You win! Every overhead photo I've seen the last few weeks of Yellowbonnets has shown BLUE walkways. I started correcting my N-Scale Yellowbonnets last night Alan. ------------------ Brent Tidaback, Member #234 BNSF Railfan-to-the Max and a N-Scaler to boot! Ain't much fun, is it, since more manufacturers than not do yellow in the walks. That is my one really big grip with Kato. The new Atlas Santa Fe GP38's are almost dead on however, so won't complain about them. Bob Miller
You dared challenge Alan????? When will you learn???? ------------------ Ship It On The FRISCO! | IAMOKA.com
Challanged? No, I just didn't have the best photo's to go by until now. Hey, when I'm wrong, I admit it. ------------------ Brent Tidaback, Member #234 BNSF Railfan-to-the Max and a N-Scaler to boot! "Ship it on the Route of The Roadrunners!" The Aransas Odessa & Western, a division of the BNSF

Aren't the BN walkways supposed to be green? I hope so, I've painted mine that way. ------------------ Brent Tidaback, Member #234 BNSF Railfan-to-the Max and a N-Scaler to boot! You're kidding, RIGHT? Don't tell me I have another project ahead! Does this include my SD60s too? No kidding, Brent - they are black, sorry ------------------ Alan The perfect combination - BNSF and N Scale! www.alancurtismodels.com Andersley Western Railroad Alan's American Gallery
Yeah Brent, get out the paint. Having worked for ATSF for many years, I can tell you that they, like other roads, are cheap about painting. A dark color on the walkways will almost always win out over a lighter color because of "hoof prints", oil spills, etc. I have walked on many ATSF walkways in the good old days that were pretty much rust because the blue had been worn off. I would shudder to think about a yellow walkway. Bob Miller
not to start any flames but shouldn't all of the atsf stuff be painted up into orange and green now anyway? just messing with your head brent.he he he he ------------------ ed pinkley home of the pinkley taurus
green and orange??? You must be talking about the monster from hell. No, ATSF should all be painted red and silver, blue and yellow as God intended trains to be painted.
