and very neat if we could get more of it offered commercially and get the price down. I don't have any Z but if it were affordable and available I would probably get into it. I like the idea of being able to have a lot of layout in a small space. Especially impressive to me are the coffee table layouts. I would like to build such a layout in an enclosed coffee table. That would make quite a conversation piece. ------------------ Ship It On The FRISCO!
It would be neat to have Z scale in the back ground and N in the foreground to get a real sense of depth. ------------------ Robin http://members.xoom.com/Matthyro/index.html
That would be a good idea too. I think that Z Scale will be exciting in the next few years amd that a lot of people will be getting into it. Some N Scalers may even one day desert to Z the way HO folks have defected to N. I think they key is to get more stuff manufactured in Z. Micro-Trains does great work and it would be nice to see even more. I know that if they started making a lot of Frisco stuff I would be buying it. There are so many places in a persons home that they could make a small Z Scale layout. You could really do a lot in a lot of places and it would open a whole new dimension to model railroading. Prices are also a problem. I am sure it is costly to produce but as more people buy it maybe the prices will become more reasonable. I would like to see more Z Scale discussions here and maybe we can learn more about it. Charlie ------------------ Ship It On The FRISCO! [This message has been edited by E-8 (edited 21 June 2000).]
I agree.... it would be fantastic if there was more available.. not only brands but countries, and railroads.. and cars, and kits, and .. and. A friend has a 20FOOT x 10 FOOT Z scale layout, but not too much rolling stock.. But it is the most impressive layout I have ever seen! ------------------ RR: K, C, & Bird Butt Railroad - SP, NS, and ROCK admirer.
