That's a nice assortment of center beams Kev. Here are a few loaded ones rolling south through Kennesaw GA a week or so ago.
Coil cars MKT 14030 eastbound at Devore Ca. 01.05.1998 Somewhere the other cover that had been tagged is running around on a different freight car 14030 again with a Mopac coil car behind it MP 950060. I struggled to identify it until I cross referenced with with some VT the wife shot of the same train. I might release that footage as a short film on youtbe as it has all the cars seen above in action Central Tenesee coil car 500131 also on the train Kev
So I mentioned that while I was shooting stills at Devore ( An original EOS 10 not a DSLR) the wife picked up the camcorder and filmed the train. In those days the camcorder of choice was a Sony 8MM. That used a sort of Cassette. Limited battery power and the tapes typically shot 60 minutes of action. Also you couldn't dump the stuff straight onto a PC or Laptop ( Firewire, still gives me the shudders) A far cry from the Panasonic HC V500s I use now with their huge batteries and SD Cards. Just think how much stuff I could have shot back then, and in HD So, even though Angie didn't have a tripod she did alright I'l have a look through the other stuff as I'm sure there are some Santa Fe Ballast hoppers at Devore Kev
