Here's me spending weeks to colour match SP Lark Dark Grey when it turns out a trowel and crayons were acceptable :(

When I Googled/Wikipedia, I learned that N scale in the UK is 1:148 above the rails and runs on 9mm
    track. Angelo has 11,000n
When I Googled N scale (gauge) and got info from Wikipedia: N Gauge in the UK is 1:148 above
the rails on 9mm track. From California, Angelo s Garage has almost 11,000 items listed, almost
8,000 transactions and 99%+ approval. I don't see any gears, so $40 with shipping for a dummy.

You have to love how AI makes that description sound so enticing.
AI is just a fancy way of spelling BS...

Fascinating how the seller fails completely to mention it is an unpowered item. This is where a buyer gets taken in. That seller is just begging to receive a complaint and negative feedback.

No Doubt about it .. about the negativity on a feedback.

I see that the Seller employs an oft-used disclaimer that Bidders need to look closely at the photos and that they'll receive what's shown. With it, Sellers absolve themselves of having to write an honest description and hope to escape responsibility for disappointment. We see five photos, but curiously none with the shell off and none of the bottom.

I've got a similar but smaller version of that. But the batteries go into the tender. It runs, just looks toy like.

My experience at train show and swap meet tables has always been that there's at least a 2:1 ratio of tenders to actual steam locomotives. Presumably that's where this one's tender went. Although for that asking price it ought to include at least a dozen tenders.

If we scroll through the left side pictures, there is a tender included. However, the price is still out of bounds.

At least we were all spared seeing the tender coupled backwards to the locomotive, another eBay standard.

Let's play "spot the missing parts." I recently sought out and bought a Kato NW2 on ebay and was disappointed to receive it missing a part (seller issued a prompt refund and provided prepaid return label, so no harm, no foul). I still watch for these, and this is the most ridiculous listing I've seen. I count five missing parts and one damaged part from the first photo. Buyer beware!

    Both stacks
    The bell
    Nose light housing
    Cab light housing
And I'm not seeing the little stand that holds the LED up to the Cab light?
Looks like the whole thing angles down towards the cab which I'm guessing is due to the LED stand missing.
The fuel tank is canted and the horn is bent.

Yep. That thing is a freakin' mess, but it looks like it already has one bid. The NP unit I bought off ebay was missing the nose light housing, but otherwise in immaculate condition. I'm pretty certain that I'm done buying locomotives in the secondary market. I have exactly one in my collection. I was late to the party for the Kato Daylight PA ABBA sets, and was only able to buy ABB new. I did find the final PA on ebay for around 90 bucks. This was a few years ago. I communicated with the seller and had high confidence that it was a true LN unit. The person's deceased father had it in his large collection, and wasn't a routine buyer/seller in the secondary market. The unit was absolutely true like new condition, with pristine jewel box, inserts, bubble wrap, etc. I'm 1 and 0, and pretty sure I'm calling it a game. Good luck to others. That SP NW2 is a mess.

Um, it's from Life-Like (their Item 7125), not Atlas. No time for proper research and an accurate description, just get'em posted.

Well, Atlas did eventually acquire Life-Like's tooling, so maybe the seller did a little too much homework. Still doesn't make it a GP-9 though :ROFLMAO:

And kudos to them for not pricing it like a complete modern locomotive. That's how low my eBay expectations have sunk.
