Those are cool barns Rob but I really like the fence and the junk car in trees. Those different details give a character that makes a cool difference!
Since today is December 31, I'm assuming the winners are set. It would be nice to see the winning entries.
We'll probably have to wait until the next issue of ZTrack Magazine for the results. I know I was NOT notified that I won.
Olay update! We will be doing the judging very soon. December was a little crazy here with all the orders and AZL specials. We are now catching up and will be announcing winners in an upcoming issue of Ztrack.
Here are a couple demonstration videos of using Atlas turnouts and Tortoise switch machines under T-Trak-Z modules. If they were mounted normally, they would not fit because the Tortoise hangs lower than the depth of a TTZ module. Also shown is the linkage I came up with that works best for holding points against the rails, using .015" Phosphor Bronze spring wire slipped over the Tortoise spring steel (music wire) actuator wire:
Rob, I have some servo powered machines set up to work on T-TRAK can send you some if you want to try them. rich
I appreciate the offer Rich, but I bought a whole large basement layout worth of Tortoise machines and Hare turnout decoders from an estate sale 15 years ago and still have about 60-70 of them left. I'm set for life!
With summer fast approaching, I have been working to finish the inside of my Z scale T-Trak-Z end cap module. This module is rural themed The interior features will be a cattle barn with pen, and fields. There is a hill that helps separate the scene on the one corner. But this hill will also be heavily tree covered. I wanted represent trains running through a cut. Next up is applying soil, ground cover, ballast and greenery. Then it is on to trees and bushes.
