I really like the fields. How did you model those rows? They have a spring look Also is the road a noch foam tape? I like the look of that as well.
The fields are actually corrugated cardboard. I found a sheet in the scrapbook section of a local craft store. I found another sheet in packing that had slightly tighter rows. This one is the smaller field. Both sheets had the corrugation exposed. The next step is to add soil on top. I am going for a spring look and feel. One will field will be left soil, the other will have greenery to represent early planting. I am loving the results!
Let the flocking fly! With the underlaying paint down, time to start building up the layers. First was real soil, sifted and glued down with matte Mod Podge. I let that dry for a few days. Next is on to the base greenery. This included underbrush for the forested section, new growth in one of the fields and assorted grasses. Next up... trees and details. I may put in the split rail fence next to help me decide tree placement. But for now, time to let everything dry for a day.
That is a great look. Using real soil makes the difference did you bake it first or put in microwave to kill any critters in it?

Joe no need to put the soil in the microwave. I basically scape the soil, then sift it to remove most larger particle. Some of this soil has been sitting for years so nothing is alive. Tiest the road is from Noch. It is self adhesive. They have a couple of different color options. I love the look!

Yes it is!!! Great product. I put a little soil along the edge to represent the birm and help to hold down the edges.
It is a very nice road, but it is European. American roads have yellow lines, unless it is a divided 4 lane.
To wrap up the birthday week, I spent some time this afternoon finishing the interior on my rural T-Trak-Z module. It was a perfect day to sit on the deck and work on the module. Today was all about trees and details. I can't even tell you how many JTT trees I used. I kept the colors bright to represent spring trees. The fence is from Archistoires. Each post has a piece that was glued on. That was fun! LOL! The finishing touch is the set of Preiser cows. I love the scenes and how it changes based on the viewing angles. All that is left is the open corner. I wonder what will go there... hmmmm....
