Couldn't resist any longer, I just went and had a look at this "custom painted, beautifully weathered" model! It is far worse than I expected, even after the above comments

That is a terrible waste of an SD40!!!!!!!

    Guys,
Hey, on the plus side to that hacked up SD40, you could oil the rear truck gearbox on the fly!! :D I could see half that cost as a minimum bid, cause you could maybe snag another shell, or use it for another project. But in my book that shell as it is, is just a throw away! I would like to see how Craig would approach a T2 kitbash, (just wishing Craig, I know you're up to you're neck in projects already!), maybe someday!
I have had my fair share of botched kitbashes, but I wouldn't try to unload them on Ebay! And certainly not for that kind of money! The guy must be a used car salesman, (you-betcha, she's a clean one owner, yepper!) :D :D

To add onto this notion, yeah, what a pile of junk! After the guy was done, I bet he said, "DDDOOOOHHHH" like Homer Simpson (that was for you Gary! :D). Any way, I have to give him credit for trying.

I may try an SD45-2 later on, but after I get some current painting projects done I will be working on GP40X.....either SP or SF, haven't decided............more on this later ;)

Well, if you look at it right, that piece in the back looks like a piece of old rust stheetmetal, like tin or such. But I don't know what to make of the fine(hah)line surrounding it. Not my era, out of my price range, not my scale, that is three against it already!!!

I could not resist a look either, in the words of the great Australian Bard Kerrigan, "tell him his Dreamin".

Some one should put the poor fellow straight and tell him the thing has only value for the mechanism, and that is probably worn out. therefore I would value it around $30 - $40.
