Sweet acquisitions, Freddy. Boxcars are my favorite freight cars. Nice kit, Deacon. I’ve never tried one of these kits. It looks like painting would be the hardest part, especially the very small details. You did really good, MetraMan. Were they all from the same vendor? The Postage Stamp cars are really cool. The KayBee price sticker on the bottom car is a blast from the past.

Got a used Bachmann F7. Checked the gears before I purchased it to make sure they were not the white ones that tend to crack. When it arrive it runs like one of the gears in the front truck is cracked. Open it up and it turns out it does have the white gears. They were just so covered in grease and dirt that they looked black in the photo. Going to see if I can salvage the front truck with some scrap gears or maybe turn it into a dummy.
From UPS "We’re sorry this package has experienced a sortation delay. The package has been rerouted to the correct destination" I guess that happens when they send it the cheapest way possible. Question - is "sortation" a real word?
This drawing legend represents the digital drawing file I purchased from the California State Railroad Museum a couple days ago. Only showing this corner because I did not purchase the right to publish the drawing and the file is just under 1GB. The actual drawing is 10' by 2.5'! It is for the Whitcomb 75-tonners owned by the Rock Island. I believe it also represents the external appearance of the 70-tonners purchased by Potlatch Forests in 1948. Very happy to have finally tracked down the drawing as I intend to build a PFI version in the future. Photos have been easy to find, but the drawing proved elusive until I recently made the connection between the RI and PFI locos. I also recommend, and was very pleased with the service from, the CSRM. Stay safe,
That's what I thought; "Sortation?" Per Google, it's defined in Merriam-Webster, and at dictionary.com, so I guess so. Learn something new every day: check!
I like this further down on dictionary.com... Example Sentences In one aspect the process of sortation bears some resemblance to digestion. Is the end result the same? Asking for a friend....
Scale Trains 'supposedly' shipped my replacement wheel sets last Monday. The mailman just smiles and waves as he drives past my house !
I visited my local train store today and bought these home with me. I don’t know if the patched covered hoppers fit my era (2000 to the present) but I like them and I’m not too particular about everything being exactly right. The 2 houses are new products. They were $26 or $27 each. They will either go on the layout or a T-Trak module.
Yep, me too; if I like it, it runs on my railroad! And I like those houses too. What manufacturer/brand?
I also visited my local hobby shop today and came home with these. And when I got home, these were waiting in my mail box.
You got some cool stuff, Brad. I really like the TV antennas. That’s a detail usually not modeled even though there was a time when just about every house had one.
